She hates the idea of having to be protected in any way and her jaw tightens a little as she frowns down at the ground. It isn't Caden's fault and none of her anger is directed at him, but it's there anyway, a little fire burning in the pit of her stomach. She's afraid that someone took this from her, that someone was able to make her feel like she needs to be protected.

"A small team," she says, her voice soft, her fingers still twined with Caden's. "I don't... I'm still not okay with having a lot of people knowing about me and what I can do." She thinks he'll understand that, especially when he's one of the few people she's trusted with the information in the first place. There's still so much she needs to tell him, but she doesn't want many people involved in this.
