"That's shit," she says. "I'm sorry." Because it is shit. If he felt anything like she feels now, it has to have been terrible and she doesn't use her powers to help anyone but herself. Coop is a good guy who wants to help others, who uses what he can do to make people feel better. She knows he uses his powers to help Spencer's husband find him when he was missing and there are times when she wonders if she would ever do something like that. The reality is that she likely wouldn't. If she was able to help someone, unless there was something in it for her, she probably wouldn't bother, because it isn't like very many people have bothered to help her.
