At the question her fists clench, tightening until they hurt, then she releases them and turns to look at Caden. It had been an attempt to quell her anger, but it doesn't work and when she looks at him, it's clear she's still furious. Not with him, just furious in general, and when she draws in a breath and then lets it go, it's shaking.

"I can't do anything," she tells him, though she realizes that might not make any sense to him. "My powers. They're gone."

It's impossible, she doesn't know any reason why she might have lost them, but there's no denying it. Every time she tries to get what she wants, people just ignore her.
