She wonders what that's like. To have a real family, people to love, to care about, people who aren't essentially strangers that stir little in the way of emotional response. She's most like Robert and therefore likes him more. Bach is alright, he amuses her more than anything. Her feelings toward Corrine are far from friendly and the rest of them might as well not even exist for all the consideration April gives them. And so she wonders what it's like, but she's also not interested enough to try and change things.
"It's fine," she says, looking up at him with an amused smile. "I'll be fine without the embarrassing stories, but if she feels the urge to tell them, I'm certainly not going to stop her. It's only fair, I guess, given the disaster that makes up my family and how much of that you've seen."
And yet she really doesn't consider them family. Not even Robert, whose company she generally enjoys.
