"What in the world are you sorry for?" Caden asks, confusion written all
over his face. "The money? God, April. I don't care about the money. I just
care that you're okay."
He kisses her forehead and pulls her into a hug, wrapping his arms around
her and holding on tightly. "I was so worried, and I'm just happy you're
safe. I feel like I can breathe again."
The longer he holds onto her and has her safe and whole in his arms, the
calmer he feels. He breathes easier and as he does, the rain lessens. The
wind stops howling and the clouds stop growing dark. But Caden doesn't
notice because he's too busy concentrating on April.
