Caden nearly loses himself in the kiss, sliding his hands up under the back of April's sweater to touch the small of her back, but he reigns himself in a little. She won't talk to him, so Caden can't talk back, which is unfortunate because he's really good at words.

But it's okay. There are other ways to get messages across.

He wraps his arms around her, one hand under her as to support her as he stands up fluidly, holding her to him. She's light enough for him to carry easily, and he kisses her as he walks the familiar path to his bedroom. "This is better for kisses. More atmospheric."

Caden grins and lays her down gently on his large, plush bed. He really likes his bedroom. It's clean and simple, light and airy, with big windows that let him see the ocean. It's a good view, but the only view he cares about right now is the one right in front of him.

He steps back and lifts her foot, carefully pulling off her boot and sock before doing the same to the same to the other one. He presses the pads of his thumbs into the arch of each foot, where he's sure all those high heels make her ache, and leans in to kiss the knob of her ankle.

When he's done, he gets up and crawls onto the bed, smiling softly at her and propping himself up over her. He searches her face for a moment and then leans down for a kiss, soft and open, fond and sweet. He wants her to feel what he can't say in the way his lips press against hers, and the way his hand gently cups her cheek as he lets out a soft sigh against her mouth.
