"I imagine that it's never boring," Caden replies. He likes Coop, and for however much he likes to joke around, he knows that he knows how to take things seriously when the situation calls for it. He's most likely a wonderful vet and a good person to have as a boss.

Caden likes to try and read the cues April gives him when they're together and act accordingly, and she's so composed that Caden is sure that he gets it wrong a lot, but it's still good to try. This time, Caden sits up a little and leaves his arm stretched out behind her on the couch, but puts a little space between them as not to smother her. She doesn't seem to be into all the touching, at least not right now, and that's okay.

"Are you hungry?" He leans forward to grab the stack of take out menus on the coffee table, elbows on his knees as he goes through them. "I think all I have in the kitchen is like, pre-packaged salads and protein powder. Yesterday was grocery shopping day, but that didn't happen."
