It should feel strange. She hasn't been like this with anyone but Les, she hasn't held hands or simply sat with anyone unless it was because she was trying to get something from them. And she supposes in a way she is. Here with Caden, she's looking for comfort, she's trying to have him fix things even though she knows he can't, but maybe that's just what people do. She's not trying to take his money, she's not lying to him, she just is with him and it should feel weird, but it doesn't.

"No, I think we're stuck just waiting," she says. "And I hate it."

She's good at plans. Making them, executing them, taking off before the aftermath begins. There's nothing to plan for here. It doesn't matter what she does, they have nowhere to begin.
