What she needs is for Les to be safe, but she can't ask that of anyone. No one can fix this and to even say as much, knowing it's not possible, might be hurtful. Another time, another man, she might have said it anyway, but she is trying and so she only shakes her head. Besides Les' safety, she has no idea what she wants right now. It's unsettling to be so unsure of things and she's full of twitchy, restless energy.
