There's absolutely no reason for her to feel self-conscious, it's far from the first time Les has seen her undressed, but there aren't many people who have seen her change from her siren form to the one she walks around in every day. He's holding her dress out toward her and she holds his gaze as she lets herself return to the body he's used to. Her vision shifts, not exactly getting worse, but changing all the same. When her eyes are black as they were, it's easier for her to see underwater, but she doesn't need that anymore. Her teeth and nails return to normal and then, slowly, the scales begin to disappear and her tail along with it. By the time she's moving out of the water, she's back to how she usually is and she smiles as she takes the dress from Les, tugging it over her head. Her skin is still wet and the material clings to her, but she has a feeling she isn't going to be wearing it for that much longer. "It is mine," she agrees.

Not far from where she'd dropped her dress, she sees her sandals and the envelope and she collects them, but says nothing about it. Her mother's will is still in there, the letter with all those secrets and she feels something clench in her chest, something she has to ignore. She'll tell him another time. Later.

Or maybe she'll never have to say a word to anyone.

He isn't afraid of her like this. She doesn't want to give him any reason to leave. It's not something she's ever cared about before, but she wants him around and once she's dressed she steps closer to him, wrapping her fingers in the hem of his shirt to tug him against her. "But don't I look better out of it?"
