As far as April knows, her father had stuck around for a few years, gotten her mother pregnant again at least once more, but she'd been taken by children's aid. She knows he'd purposely influenced her mother into drug use, too, but beyond that, she has nothing. Still, it doesn't surprise her to hear another scumbag father story. They don't seem all that rare these days.

"And this is why it's much more fun to use men instead of relying on them," she says with a laugh.
